“Being a family woman at this particular juncture, with my career, it is the one thing that absolutely holds me together and keeps me totally focused,” says the 45-year-old Williams of her husband, Kevin Hunter, and 9-year-old son Kevin Jr. “My business is in New York, but my life, the salt of where I’m from, is here in Jersey.

Now, it’s a trend. Back then it was something that really had to happen for it to be explosive. Now, people can tell a trend from something else. Sometimes people are doing it for publicity but if you doing it for publicity you better look good! That’s all I’m saying.
It’s all about how you deal with it. With me, I had a lot of explicit offers come to the table with a lot of money being offered to me and I could’ve been blinded by the money as far as traveling down that road and then I think for sure career over. But it’s just all how you deal with it.

Judge Marsha Revel made it clear to Lindsay late last year, she must attend alcohol ed courses once every 7 days. The only exception -- if she was in inpatient rehab.
The school in which Lindsay enrolled is required by state law to inform the court only if the student is MIA for 21 days. So here's the disconnect: The school has not reported an attendance violation ... because Lindsay frequently waited until the 21st day to attend classes. Lindsay met the school's requirement, but squarely violated the judge's order.
Judge Revel has made it clear to Lindsay -- no more chances. If probation is violated, she's going to jail ... and probation was repeatedly violated.
On Destiny's Child:
It was the loss of the friendship that was difficult. That was the hardest part of the separation. These girls [Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson] were my friends from elementary school. We went to church together, we hung out together.
Recently, I ran into Kelly and we got to catch up briefly. It was one of those things where you never know how the other person is going to react. But it was relaxed. Like with the situation with Matt Kemp. I think the blogs kind of created the whole relationship. We were friends – there was nothing more to it. When we went out, a lot of times we had lots of other mutual friends there, but people would single us out. I definitely thought he was cute, but it was never anything like that. They had it on blogs that we were dating and this happened and that happened – but that’s not it.
Multiple sources close to Nelly say the victim in a NOLA shooting was one of Nelly's bodyguards. The victim is 36 year old Michale Johnson sources describe him as Nelly's left hand man, or someone who was by the rapper's side providing security. Police say he was either walking in or walking out of the home when someone opened fire. They're not sure if Johnson was targeted or if he interrupted a burglar who then shot him.

A former Rikers guard says she was canned after a bad rap - a claim she tried to sneak a peek at Lil Wayne in lockup. Amelia Negron, who is preparing a federal suit against the city, said union higherups forced her to falsely confess she was trying to star-gawk. "I don't even like rap," said Negron, 33.
What really happened March 10 is that she popped her head into the unit where the performer was being held to see a colleague, Negron said.
"The door to the area was unlocked, and so I went in to say hello, and that officer said, 'Hey, you can't be here. We've got a celeb here.' I said, 'Okay, no problem,' turned around and left," Negron said.
A Correction Department spokesman noted Negron was a probationary employee and said her firing was "entirely appropriate."
