Lil Wayne Tops Grammy Nods

Lil Wayne was the most rewarded by the Recording Academy on Wednesday, receiving eight Grammy nominations including album of the year for "Tha Carter III." His CD was the only record this year to sell 1 million copies in its first week. Following close behind with album of the year contention, singer-songwriter Ne-Yo's "Year of the Gentleman" who got six nominations. Singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan, who has drawn comparisons to Lauryn Hill with her hit "I Need You Bad," had a breakthrough night, with five nominations. Other multiple nominees included Jay-Z and Kanye West, who had six nominations each. The Grammy Awards are scheduled for live broadcast on CBS on Feb 8.

Kelly Ditches Matthew Knowles... Bout time

Looks like Kelly Rowland has finally got some common sense and is ready to give long time manager Matthew Knowles the boot. From what I hear Kelly will be replacing Matt with American Idol judge Simon Fuller. With Kelly being so major over seas it comes as no surprise that she has decided to use Simon who has managed the careers of celebs such as The Spice Girls, Annie Lennox, Carrie Underwood and David and Victoria Beckham. The announcement of Kelly's new management is set to happen at the top of the new year.

“Can you believe I didn’t even stop eating so I could fit into it,” she said. “The amazing thing is I still actually managed to get into this two days after stuffing myself on Thanksgiving. I know I won’t have to worry about eating at the after-party tonight because I can’t. No room in this for food. No room even for me to sit down.”

An Arrest for the Hudson murders is made...

Looks like an arrest has finally been made in the Hudson murder cases which took the lives of celeb Jeniffer Hudson's mother, brother and young nephew. Read below for details:

Jennifer Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, was arrested Monday in the slayings of the Oscar winner’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, according to Chicago police.

Formal charges have not yet been brought by the Cook County prosecutor’s office, but Balfour was transferred from an Illinois state prison – where he has been held on suspicion of a parole violation – back into police custody, says police spokeswoman Monique Bond.

Balfour, 27, who is separated from Hudson’s sister, Julia, was arrested in the first-degree murders of Hudson’s mother Darnell Donerson, 57, brother Jason Hudson, 29, and his own stepson, Julian King, 7.

I hope this will give their family some peace.
