Nas recently commented on how he feels about politics in this country and it was quite insightful. But then again I would expect nothing less from Nas! Anyway peep it out below:

“There never been a president to address the slaughter of young black people by this country’s police. When your government’s police are killing one section of people, that’s genocide. There’s never been a president to even acknowledge it. You don’t acknowledge that? That’s a big thing President Obama has to recognize when he gets in office. I’m five presidents in … and I ain’t seen nothing happen to stop the police murders on young, black people,” he added. “Why would I believe in the system? With that being said, I think Barack can cure that disease and help cure the country. Not just in that area with us blacks, but also with all Americans. Women are getting treated like dogs. You know how hard it is for a woman to prove she was raped? The system is warped. They throw young guys — who’s starving — in jail just trying to survive on the streets. Throw them in jail forever. Young kids, 18 years old, executed in Texas. Yet, child predators get to come home and do it again. I think it’s so much our president can do. [Obama] seems like a human being. I say that because a lot of presidents don’t seem like human beings. They seem like straight-up businessmen who care about nothing but the business. Nah, you gotta care about the people.”

Ne-Yo Gets Off Easy!

Seems like Ne-Yo caught an easy break on his charge of reckless driving in Atlanta that took place back in February! The singer will be performing a concert for the Boys and Girls club as part of a plea deal. Peep below via Atlanta Journal Constitution:

"Grammy winner Ne-Yo has a word of advice for drivers: “Watch your speed when driving through Atlanta.” He should know. He uttered those words as he left Cobb State Court on Monday after pleading guilty to failing to get a Georgia license and no contest to reckless driving. As part of a plea deal, Ne-Yo will perform a concert for the Boys & Girls Club in Cobb. Cobb County police clocked the singer-songwriter’s Range Rover at 105 mph in a 55 mph zone when they pulled him over on Feb. 19 on South Cobb Drive and Cobb Parkway. He told police he’d lived in Georgia for a year. “I was trying to get somewhere in a awful hurry, and I got pulled over.”

Wait... shouldn't he just do the concert off of GP..... what a damn punishment, if I was the Boys and Girls club I'd be offended, he should do it because he wants to not because he has to! Now that's setting a positive image!

Queen Latifah Hits The Beach... and It Aint Pretty!

The queen and her boo hit up Miami beach. I just have one question if her "trainer" is ONLY her trainer... why is she still around, cause from the looks of things Latifah's body ain't being trained in the least bit! Not for nothing but as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman shouldn't she be looking a little better than that?

R. Kelly's Case heats Up!

Lisa Van Allen the "key" witness in the R. Kelly trial who is said to have been apart of a threesome during Kelly's underage sexcapades is testifying! Read below thanks to the Kelly Chronicles:

“Van Allen said she had met R. Kelly at the video shoot for ‘Home Alone,’ in which she appeared, in late 1997 or early 1998. She talked with Kelly and ended up having ‘intercourse’ with him in the trailer, she said. She was 17 at the time, she said.

The pair exchanged numbers and Van Allen soon visited Kelly in Chicago, eventually giving up her job in Atlanta to be with him full time. Kelly paid for her to stay in hotels and she spent most of her time with him at the studio, she said.

In late 1998, she testified, Kelly took her to his former home on the North Side of Chicago, where she met the alleged victim in this case for the first time. Kelly taped them while they had three-way sex in his ‘log-cabin’ room, she said. That’s the same room he’s alleged to have filmed the tape in this case. Kelly told her the alleged victim was 16, she said.
On another occasion, following an awards ceremony in Chicago at which Kelly had been honored, Van Allen, Kelly and the alleged victim in this case again had videotaped three-way sex. But this time they did it on Kelly’s basketball court.

‘He took up his camera and we took off our clothes and we all had sex again,’ she said. Van Allen said Kelly stopped the sex session after she broke down crying. “I didn’t want to do it,” she said.

On a third occasion, sometime in 2000, Kelly, Van Allen and the alleged victim romped again, this time in his trailer at the video shoot for ‘Woman’s Threat,’ Van Allen said. Kelly and the alleged victim ran naked to hide after somebody knocked on the door and disturbed them, she said.

Van Allen said Kelly carried a ‘duffel bag’ with his home-made porn it wherever he went. ‘He carried it everywhere,’ she said. ‘If we was at the studio, it was in the studio with him; if he was at Hoops (his gym) it would be at Hoops with him…the bag would follow him.’

She said she was not there when the tape at the center of this case was made, but identified the alleged victim and Kelly as being on that tape.”
