Jay Z Didn't Wont to go to Def Jam Offices... Who He Think He Is?

After his brisk leave from Def Jam sources are saying that jay is in the works with Warner Music Group to start a new label called Aaron Carter. Peep this via NY Daily:

Now we hear Jay has been huddling with Reid’s rival, Warner Music Group head Lyor Cohen, to talk about starting his own label - tentatively called the Carter Music Group. (Jay’s real name is Aaron Carter.)

“The reason Jay left Def Jam was less about money than about freedom. He didn’t want to come to the office every day. And he had so many outside projects - his chain of 40/40 clubs and the hotel he’s building in Chelsea. But he wouldn’t mind having a small label for the talent he discovers. He might just put out three or four records a year. He’d let somebody else do the heavy lifting.”

Now that's how you bounce back Jay, not that he needed any help lol!

Explanation of Pimp C's Death Emerges!

UGK rapper Pimp C’s death was the result of an overdose that was triggered by a large consumption of codeine medication combined with a pre-existing sleep condition. According to the autopsy report, Pimp C had prescription promethazine/codeine in his system when he died. Initial reports at the time of his death suggested the rapper had over-the-counter codeine in his possession. Pimp C also suffered from sleep apnea, which causes blockage of the airways during sleep. He had prescription medication in him when he passed away, and the levels were elevated but not real high, so it wasn’t an overdose from [the codeine], but we think it was a result of taking the cough medication with his sleeping problems.

My only problem is what was the hold up! When Heath Ledger died we knew right away but with Pimp C it took damn near a month WTF? I'm confused!

Ray J's Mom gets Active with Kim K

According to sources Ray J's mom filed a lawsuit against Kim K accusing her of credit card fraud! Peep this:

The suit, which also names Kardashian’s siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., alleges they ran up the charges on the mother’s card in 2006 and 2007. It seeks the return of the money plus 10 percent interest. Kim Kardashian denied the allegations, telling PEOPLE she and her siblings had Norwood’s permission to make the purchases.

“We have her signature on all items,” Kardashian says.

In the lawsuit, Norwood’s mother, Sonja Norwood, who is also her manager, alleges Kim Kardashian had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on the Norwood American Express card in Kim’s then-capacity as a stylist for Brandy (Brandy’s brother, Ray J, also appeared in the infamous sex tape with Kim).

But later, Kardashian, now starring in the E! reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, made unauthorized purchases and passed on Norwood’s card number to her siblings, who also then made unauthorized purchases, including for items in two Kardashian family-owned clothing stores, Dash and Smooch, for a total of $120,636.

Damn I guess the sex tape money can last but so long huh!

Erykah Does Giant Mag and talks about Andre and Common! Check You Out!

Peep what Erykah had to say about her ex's in the new issue of Giant Mag:

“I know about the backlash, the ‘Erykah Badu, if you look at her, she’ll make you change gods and wear crochet pants’ backlash,” she says. “But nobody looks at the things that those people have given to me.”

What have they given you?

“Just so much musical freedom. Common is the most humble person I ever met. Kind and generous. He reinforced that in me. Andre is very creative and artistic. All of that that you see of him, that’s all him. That’s how he is, and that gave me a creative push, too.”

Although Badu is fairly cryptic when discussing her old beaus, she allows this brief, whispered indulgence.

“With Andre, we were both very young, so we didn’t know what we wanted or anything. We just knew we were in love, and we didn’t care who saw us. With Common, it was a little bit more mature.”

Glad to see she is somewhat normal!
